Greeting
“How are you?”
“Good.”
“...”
“...”
*End of conversation. *
I was this kind of person, and I once a quiet and shy person. I do not know how to continue it because I really don’t know what to talk or how to respond. Some people said that I’m cool, yes, I’m really cool. I remember my friend asked me during exam , she said, “this question is quite hard, what do you think?”. I replied, “hmmm , okay.”
When I’m responding to the person who asked me ‘how are you.’ and then I just gave him one word, ‘Good’. I can feel that, I’m not really good. And I do not know what is the real definition or meaning of my ‘Good’. Besides, I do not how to express myself when someone greet me. I just want to get out of that situation and be alone. However, I never be left alone. Amen!
I have noticed that a girl, she came to church alone, from far distance, I can see that she needs help. And I do not know how am I going to help her. She was very quiet and fear and she don’t even say ‘Hello’. People will say that she is proud. But I don’t think so. Anyway, one of my friend told me, when he greets her, she only answered a sentence, kind that ‘Good’, ‘I have eaten.’, “I came here by myself.”, ‘No, ‘Yes’…… From this conversation, I know she needs help badly.
Glad that I can pray for her when she told me about her problem. Thanks God.
After the meeting, I was busy keeping the instrument, then she and a few friends passed by me. So I just say ‘Goodbye.’ Suddenly, she called my name and say goodbye. I was very shocked. I am really, really shocked. Wow! That’s Impressive!
My experience is, when you want to seek God, desperately want to know more about God, as times goes by, you can see some people really need help, and we need to approach them and help them. Show love is more important.
Showing love to others can be a gateway for loving yourself.
